Miller In The Morning w/JB & T

Hometown: Ironton, OH

Years Experience: 39 years in Radio beginning in 1977

How did you get into radio? My older brother was a local broadcaster and would take me to work with him. That’s all it took and I was hooked!

What was your first job? Began in radio in 1977 at WGNT in Huntington as a part timer.

What was your proudest moment?

  • Inducted into the Huntington Wall of Fame.
  • Inducted into the West Virginia Broadcaster’s Hall of Fame.
  • Downtown Ironton Banner recognized as Hometown of Hall of Fame Broadcasters JB and Bob (my brother).
  • Instrumental in getting Red Lobster & Cracker Barrel to build here thru a radio promotion.

Tell me about your favorite pet.  We have 2 kitties. Jimmy and Gabby.

What band would you LOVE to tour with? In my career I have met many artists but have failed to ever meet Bruce Springsteen or Bob Seger—2 of my favorites.

Any random hobbies you’d like to share? Collecting old arcade and pinball machines, but I ran out of space. I enjoy yard work and working in the soil.

Anything else you’d like to tell us?  Met my wife Sandra on a blind date. Daughter Katie is a local hair dresser. Older brother Bob was a top area broadcaster in the Tri State through the 70s before departing for Oregon and I replaced him on air.
